About the Art Class

Art Class is a creative space for children and adults to explore painting, self-expression, and creativity in a warm, supportive, and pressure-free environment.

Our program is inspired by contemporary community art studios and creative schools, where the focus is on the process rather than perfection. Participants are encouraged to explore materials, develop confidence, and discover their own creative voice. No prior art experience is required.

Registration Now Open - Paint, Play & Create!

We are now accepting registrations for our 2026-2027 creative art program for children ages 6-10!

Paint, Play & Create is a joyful weekly program where children can develop their drawing and painting skills, explore colours, shapes, textures, and different art techniques, and express their imagination through creative projects.

Each class combines learning, artistic exploration, and fun. Children will gradually build confidence, improve fine motor skills, and discover their own unique creative style in a warm and supportive environment.

The group is limited to 10–12 children, allowing every child to receive individual attention and guidance. All art materials are included.

Class Format

Art Class is offered through ongoing weekly sessions and stand-alone art workshops. Themes, techniques, and materials may vary throughout the program, allowing participants to experience different creative approaches and styles.

Art Class for Children

Age 6 - 12 Years

The children’s program is designed to support creativity, imagination, and confidence through painting and visual exploration. Sessions are structured yet flexible, allowing children to work at their own pace while receiving gentle guidance and encouragement.

Focus areas include:

Working with color and composition Exploring painting techniques Creating finished artworks Building confidence through creative expression.

Art Class for Adults

Age 16+ Years

Art Class for adults offers a space to slow down, disconnect from daily routines, and reconnect with creativity. This program is suitable for both beginners and those with prior experience. The emphasis is on exploration, personal expression, and enjoying the creative process without pressure or expectations.

Focus areas include:

Acrylic painting and mixed techniques Developing personal style Creative exploration in a supportive environment Materials.

This program is designed for children, youth, and adults who want to explore painting, develop artistic skills, and express themselves through art in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Participants learn step by step through hands-on practice, experimenting with different techniques, colors, textures, and artistic styles. From beginner-friendly guided painting sessions to more advanced creative exploration, our classes help build confidence, imagination, and artistic expression.

All art materials are provided by the studio, including canvas, paints, brushes, and supplies – each participant completes a finished artwork to proudly take home.

Our Art Classes may include:

• Seasonal and themed art projects
• Beginner and intermediate-level instruction

We also offer custom art workshops for schools, community organizations, private groups, birthdays, and special events.

Whether you’re picking up a paintbrush for the first time or continuing your creative journey – ART LAB is a place to discover, create, and grow.

Art Class is organized and coordinated by Oksana Tokmakova, who is also the program’s permanent creative facilitator. Oksana is a visual artist and creative facilitator with over five years of experience creating artwork and hosting art workshops across different platforms and communities.

Her approach is not based on traditional instruction but on gentle guidance, encouragement, and creating a safe space where participants can explore and express themselves freely.

Depending on the format or specific workshop, additional facilitators may join the program, while the overall vision, structure, and approach remain consistent.
