WHERE IDEAS BECOME EVENTS AND PERFORMANCES
Kids Town – Game Facilitators Program is a creative, hands-on program where children learn how to take an idea and develop it into a complete event or stage production.
Participants explore event structure, scriptwriting, storytelling, theatre production, game facilitation, hosting, rehearsals, and performance. They create their own concepts, develop characters and activities, work together on scripts and scenarios, distribute roles, rehearse, and bring their ideas to life in front of an audience.
Through this process, children develop creativity, communication, teamwork, leadership, confidence, and stage presence – while gaining real experience in how events and performances are created from beginning to end.
What We Learn
Event Creation & Planning
- Developing an event idea and theme
- Building an event structure from beginning to end
- Planning games, activities, transitions, and performances
Game Facilitation & Hosting
- Learning how to explain and lead games
- Engaging participants and keeping the event moving
- Developing hosting and public speaking skills
Age Groups
Kids Town welcomes children and youth ages 8-16.
SCRIPTWRITING & THEATRE PRODUCTION
Storytelling & Script Work
- Creating original stories, scenes, and event scenarios
- Writing dialogue and developing characters
- Participating in script readings and rehearsals
Theatre & Performance
- Preparing scenes and theatre productions
- Voice, movement, stage presence, and improvisation
- Rehearsing and presenting performances to an audience
Teamwork & Leadership
- Taking on different roles within an event
- Working together to turn ideas into a finished production
- Developing communication, responsibility, and leadership
